Try it before setup
Open RetroBounce, explore a preset and use Preview. No global permissions are required. In Settings you can change speed, logo size, wait time and your image. Effects has presets first and advanced controls below.
Enable the optional global mode
Open Set up permissions. Allow Display over other apps. Read the accessibility disclosure and, if you agree, enable RetroBounce inactivity in Android Accessibility settings. Return to the app and enable the mode. Grant notification permission if you want its controls visible. Leave the screen on and unlocked; after the configured wait the animation appears. Touch it to dismiss. Stop it from the app or notification.
If it does not appear
Check the app’s actual service status and both permissions. The wait must finish before Android turns off the screen. The mode does not run on the lock screen. After a ten-minute session it waits for new activity. If Android or the manufacturer stops it, reopen RetroBounce and enable it again. Only review battery restrictions if interruption actually occurs; unrestricted battery is not mandatory.
Devices and performance
Requires Android 7.0+. Manufacturer restrictions vary, and compatibility is not guaranteed on every device. Use simpler presets if effects stutter or consume too much power.
Send useful feedback
Email support@vei.solutions with your phone model, Android version, RetroBounce version and steps to reproduce the problem. Screenshots are optional; remove private information first. Ratings are always optional and are never required to unlock features.
Notes for Google Play reviewers
No login or test account is required. Follow the global setup steps above. Accessibility only resets inactivity from event notifications; canRetrieveWindowContent is false. The specialUse foreground service supports the user-enabled idle overlay, with visible control when notifications are allowed. No advertising SDK is included. Verify the submitted release’s declarations and disclosure video against this flow.
